MOGO offers custom one hour online training sessions. You choose the topics and features, and our Senior Trainers will create a training outline specific to you, with personal, customized online training at your convenience. How do I link a patient’s Employer and Insurance? How long does it take?

One of the most basic needs of any practice is to collect payments from patients and their insurance. In MOGO, the process of adding this information is not only easy to do, it’s also fast.

Insurance for Non-Family Members

A couple gets divorced. How long does it take me to unlink their Family Table, while still leaving the dad as the insurance holder for the kids?

It’s an unfortunate, but not too uncommon situation. MOGO understands that this does happen, and we give you a way to accommodate the patients. This way, treatment done for the kids is billed under the family of the non-insurance holding parent, but claims and payments can still be done for the responsible party.

Marking a Check NSF

A patients pays me with a check. It is now more than a month later and I get notification that the check has come back as NSF. How can I mark the check as returned, but make sure that the balance is now 30+ days past due?

Nobody likes to think about it, but checks get returned sometimes. Fortunately in MOGO, you can not only mark the check as NSF you can also bill the customer based on the aging of the balance. Because MOGO does line-item distributions, when a check is marked returned, the program knows what treatment that check was paying and how old the balance now is.

Communication

My front desk person talks with a patient over the phone who needs to schedule an appointment, but has a past due balance of $1000. They promise to bring in a check for $500 and cookies for the office. Let’s say my front desk person is off on the day of the appointment, how can they communicate that the patient is supposed to be bringing the check and cookies?

Every software has a strength. For a database program like Microsoft SQL their strength is security. For some programs it’s versatility, for some it’s ease of use. MOGO has all of these traits, but none are our strength. Our strength is communication. Communication is KEY when talking about a practice management software. Not only does MOGO offer great communication between users, but also the communication between it’s own screens and features. Automatic messages that are triggered by specific events is just one example of the power of MOGO’s communication.

Generating Year End Benefits Letter

The end of the year is approaching. How can I contact all of my patients who have remaining insurance benefits?

Patients who don’t use up all of their yearly benefits are simply padding the pockets of the insurance company. As October or November roll around, many patients will still have benefits left. By simply creating a form letter and a report template, you can reach all of them so you can provide them with quality care.
